Have I told you?
Have I told you how very much you mean to me?
You were always there when I needed you.
Following along behind you, walking beside you,
Or just sitting in the kitchen watching you.
Sometimes that’s all I needed or wanted.
Other times I needed more, and you were there.
Things I couldn’t talk to mama about. You understood.
Things I didn’t understand about while growing up. You helped.   Sometimes I was very hard to cope with, but you stayed.
I dreamed about being just like you.
Oh, how I looked up to you.(and still do)
You were my favorite movie star!
The most beautiful sister in the world. (my friends agreed)
Now We are adults. Have I told you lately?
Have I told you how very much you mean to me?
You are the best friend I could ever ask for.
Please forgive me if we don’t see each other enough.
I wish we could.
I don’t have the time I use to, nor do you.
Why do things have to change so much?
But I promise you this.
It’s more then thinking about you, much more!
You are in me! We are as much one as we ever could be.
Not a minute passes that you are not there with me.
In a crowded room, I miss you.
Alone, I have our memories, and wonder what you are doing.
I wish that all sisters everywhere could know the joy and life that we have shared.
What a gift that would be, if we could only give it to others.
I love you, Bonnie. If I had nothing else to be born for, you would be enough.  -------
